written by an educator, artist, and poet who was a child who experienced bullying.

Story Overview

The status of “Class Queen” did not make Michaela happy. She was the first to burst into laughter when fellow classmate Rean squirmed in her seat as she stuttered the words from the class textbook. From that day on Michaela lead the classmates into bullying Rean.

Drawing on inner strengths, while connecting to various significant figures around her, Rean overcomes her fears, copes with the bullying, and even finds creative avenues of expression which help her fulfill her dreams. Little did she know that she was also serving as an agent of change for her classmates, transforming their behavior and stopping the daily bullying.

This is an optimistic story told through a compassionate lens, where the author recognizes that within each bully there is a soft spot, that when reached has potential to transform their behavior.

Drawing on her personal experience, author takes the reader on a riveting journey of personal growth and empowerment. She brilliantly offers a creative way of combating bullying in any form or place.

This story is primarily written for children who are bullied. However, bullies, their parents, their families, educators in various institutions, bystanders as well as anyone who is interested in taking a stand against bullying anywhere in the world will also gain extraordinary insights. Just as bullying transcends nations, cultures, ethnic groups and religions, so does the ability to heal, learn, and grow from the experience of it.

המעמד של “מלכת הכתה” לא הביא שמחה למיכאלה. היא היתה הראשונה שפרצה בצחוק לגלגני בשיעור בו רינת התפתלה במילותיה וגמגמה כשנתבקשה לקרוא ממחברתה. מאותו יום הנהיגה מיכאלה את ילדי כתתה, במעשי בריונות כנגד רינת.

תוך גיוס משאבים פנימיים והתחברות לדמויות משמעותיות סביבה מצליחה רינת להתגבר על פחדיה, להתמודד עם תוקפיה, למצוא אפיקי יצירה, ולהגשים את חלומה, ותוך כך, אפילו לגרום לשינוי ביחסם של ילדי כתתה, ולהפסקת מעשי הבריונות.

זהו סיפור על צמיחה אישית המבחין ברגישות שֶׁבְּכָל בריון קיימת לפחות נקודה חבויה אחת בה ניתן לגעת, ובאמצעותה להביא לידי שינוי התנהגותי.
